9/28/10 well, Dear Gif Diary passed 100 posts last week, and according to Tumblr it has more followers than posts. maybe i should quit while i'm ahead, but i'm still kind of enjoying it.

First, the Head Shop Boys are playing at Holocene's Mini-Golf invitational. At 8:30 we're going to do one of our old favorite sets again. Then, starting at 10, DJ Gay iPod is going to play a set at Beauty Bar! This is DJ Gay iPod's first show in years, so of course everyone is very excited. If you don't already have one, I Heart DJ Gay iPod shirts will be for sale at the show. I will see you there!!!

1/26/10 Cari Vander Yacht finished her book called Does This Make it Better? It's too bad I didn't tell you that earlier, because there was a good party for the release of it at Tiga on Sunday. If you get one, you can check out my work on page ninteen or something! Also, the opening of THIS Redux happened on Friday at Disjecta. I had the fear of a party-thrower that fears nobody will come to their party, but people did. Here's an awesome picture of the opening that, if it were higher resolution, I would make part of the THIS collection.

9/9/09! hey, remember that handy free gong button website i made a while back? it's blowing up! for months, it had been getting about one or zero visitors per day. for example, last monday it got one. but then it looks like it caught the attention of some stumbleupon people, and on wednesday it got 13,923! this calls for a free gong session! it almost makes me wonder what would have happened if i had charged a small fee for the gong service, but no: that isn't what the website is about.
9/8/09 julia turned me on to this awesome website where you can make 3D characters do and say things pretty easily. here is my first effort. warning: it is hilarious and uses the f-word (read: "fuck") a lot.
9/2/09 this is old news, but for the founders day talent contest at work this year, I shot Dominic with a hot dog. nice work, Dominic.
8/25/09 august has gone so fast! the opening went well, and the show is still up till the end of the month. i've hardly taken any pictures of the show but my dad came to the opening and took some and you can look at them here.

8/2/09 what have i been doing? well, partly I have been at home, working on an art show. it opens this Thursday, 8/6 at the Downtown Stumptown. The one on Third. A lot of it is pictures I took of a neon sign I had made, but there is also a lot of other stuff for those who hate pictures of neon signs. 7/10/09 where have i been?! i went to tennessee for a second, i drove to joseph, or for a second, and i've been in my room, trying to get ready for an art show. less than a month away now, and stress and excitement are running high. i should show you some more pictures of everything, but for now it'll just be this one. 6/8/09 North Bar's birthday party was fun! The Head Shop Boys sets went well. You can listen to the second one, the Fleetwood Mac one, at www.theheadshopboys.com. Also, Scrappers and Martin finished up the Speed Space Painting mural at the Grass Hut. Check that out too!

2/23/09 check out this pretty good idea that julia and i had: you take audio of your friend singing karaoke, and you sync it up to video of the person whose song it is really performing it. it's pretty easy and pretty funny. the sweet spot.

8/8/07 i haven't written a book before, but that didn't mean that i didn't want my book cover on display in one of the windows of powell's. so, today, i made it happen. the easy way.

8/3/07 well, a few weeks ago i stopped in a parking lot where some crackheads were selling VHS tapes for a dollar apiece. they claimed to have 10,000 movies. i spent eleven dollars, mostly on workout tapes. here's what i've done with them so far. or, if you were at holocene last week for matt and genevieve's nightclubbing party, you may have seen some of these same clips there.

7/30/07 i went and saw daft punk last night. it was like going to see an indoor fireworks show indoors with techno and with lights instead of fireworks. i think it was the loudest place i've ever been. here's a video of some of it, the youtube-est video i've ever put on youtube. daft punk is the two dudes in the middle of the tv screen pyramid.

7/6/07 hey, i have a picture of a bird in the grass hut's "the new birds" group show. it's a benefit for the portland audobon society, and the opening is tonight! from six to nine p.m. it'll be up all month. probably i'll put a picture of mypainting on dickbird.org soon.

5/27/07 here's something fun i learned to do from driscoll. put white-out and marker on the front page of the new york times and make tragedy into comedy! action into comedy! touching human-interest into comedy! the drawback is: much of it is in extremely poor taste, and not funny. check it out.
