10/26/2008 6:18:51 PM the road that took me off the boring part of 26 made for at first a very beautiful ride. and then for a while a chilly ride, and then a nostalgic ride, and then a scary night ride followed by backwoods headlights and then a bone-chilling cold ride, and then i met seth and gina in st johns for some ping pong. sundown and twilight marked the transition between beautiful and chilly.

pictures from the evening of 6/19/05. i wish these pictures did a better job of showing this sky for what it was. namely, the craziest sky ever. there were brown clouds for a while, and plenty of lightning later. the whole day had been beautiful and in the evening i watched as this craziness rolled in. people all over were just staring at the sky, not just me. i heard at least 3 people say that it was "tornado weather."

09:07 yeah, this is a blurry picture. but look at all that color! plus, nate's in it, and it's his birthday.

09:10 soon after this it started to rain. and then by like 11:00 it was totally clear.

06/9/2005 07:23:00 AM can you believe what 7:23 in the morning looks like these days?

saturday, december 19 1:30 p.m.

this was a chilly day. i sat on my front steps for about 15 minutes and in that time the shadow from this pole moved across me. i could feel where the shadow was on me because that part of me was a bit cold. the parts where the sun was hitting were comfortable.
